In a triumph of democratic integrity, the AAC party held its primaries today, selecting Oberiafo Udoh as its candidate for the upcoming Edo State elections in September 2024. The process, lauded for its transparency, had 90 local government executives as ratified delegates to cast their votes.
Sowore and others were arrested in 2019 during the “RevolutionNow protest,” advocating for President Buhari’s removal. Subsequently, Sowore and co-defendant Olawale Bakare faced treason charges in the Federal High Court Abuja. Although Sowore had been granted bail during the trial, he was later rearrested.
Over the years, the Nigerian nurses like all other professionals have been fed with a wage only sufficient for them to wake the next day to slave away and again. Despite the poor wages and conditions of work, they have toiled to achieve whatever health outcomes we have today. They deserve respect and dignity of labour; all that we as a party have explained in our manifesto for total liberation.
Omoyele Sowore, the presidential candidate of the AAC, actively participated in the annual Lagos City Marathon, traditionally organized by Access Bank in collaboration with the Lagos state government.
